Organic Anyone?

Have you always wondered but never knew exactly where the produce at the grocery was coming from? Well we recently watched the video Food, Inc., and what a disturbing feeling I got afterwards. This video showed the facts of where our beef, poultry and vegetables are being produced and what exactly goes in them. My stomach churned! I just couldn't believe what I was learning. I always debate in the produce section on what to buy as to which looks more appealing. I'm a big fan of celery, and it's one vegetable that shows the biggest effect in organic or not. I usually would buy the bigger stalks that look better and greener. Not no more! These stalks have been injected with "steroids" to preserve them longer and to make them grow incredibly faster than organic. Ugh! how frustrating! It's a shame we don't have some local true farmer markets near by. If I had the ability I would have my own garden.
